Ishasha Wilderness Camp is a luxury facility in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, second largest conservation area in Uganda notably the most popular destination in the country. It is home to a variety of flora and fauna a paradise for birds most sought of for birding safaris. The Ishasha sector is known for tree climbing lions that are a rare and exceptional attraction with in the park they are commonly spotted lying up the big fig trees hanging on the branches in the southern sector.
The exclusive camp is a best tented accommodation part of the wild frontiers properties which include bakers Lodge in Murchison Fall National Park and Buhoma Lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park offering the best kind of services. The park is strategically located to favour gorilla trekking in Bwindi and chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National Park.

The 10 tented rooms have brought out the best feeling of being in the wilderness located in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park each of them suited with beautiful furnishings, private bathrooms, and a dressing area. Ishasha wilderness Camp is well situated as in being in the park animals pass by the safari camp, for better experiences. While at the lodge, one can do lion tracking in Queen Elizabeth National Park, in hunt of the tree climbing lions in the southern sector of Ishasha, game drives to the Kasenyi plains for animals like elephants, buffalos, elands, topi, oribi, warthogs, primates like the baboons, vervet monkeys and chimpanzee in the Kyambura Gorge, boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel with the largest population density of the hippos, and a variety of birds, animals like grazing around this area and water. Nature walks, chimpanzee tracking and hot air balloons to take around the park, bush breakfasts and sundowners complete the whole experience of the bush wilderness.
The Ishasha sector is located in Queen Elizabeth National Park to the south in western Uganda approximately7 hours’ drive from Kampala or Entebbe. Chatter flights can be organised. The park is accessible all year round but best during the dry months of December to February, late June to September. It advisable to carry boots, sunscreen, long sleeved shirts and trousers for safety purposes.
