Day 1: Kampala – Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After your early morning breakfast, depart Kampala for Murchison Falls National Park and make a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Trekking and lunch. Thereafter, proceed to the park and pass by the top of the Murchison Falls and marvel at this beautiful creation as you take photos. Continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation Options: Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury), Murchison River Lodge (Mid Range) or Red Chili Rest Camp (Budget). Meal Plan: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 2: Game Drive in Murchison Falls National Park – Boat Cruise

Set off for an early game view drive on the North of the Nile. You are likely to spot; elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, waterbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, oribi among many other animal species. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the base of the mighty Murchison Falls. While on the boat cruise, you will spot more animals including; hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants among others. There are many bird species on the papyrus banks including the Shoebill stork. Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Have an early morning breakfast and set off for Kibale Forest National Park. The park has the highest concentration of primates in East Africa including chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and baboons. Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park

Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and go to track chimpanzees near Kanyanchu. Primates in the area include; golden monkeys, l’hoest’s monkeys, baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red colobus, blue monkeys and pottos. Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early morning breakfast, embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Carry out a game drive in the Mweya Peninsular and check out Lake Katwe and other small crater lakes. Day 6:  Queen Elizabeth National Park Game Drive –  Launch Cruise

After a cup of coffee, start the day with a game drive in the Kasenyi plains that will lead you to see black and white Colobus, bush buck, Uganda Kob, topi, Defassa waterbuck, and Cape buffaloes. A range of birds like Cassin’s grey flycatcher, broad billed roller, black bee-eater along the banks of Lake Edward. In the evening, go for a launch cruise on Kazinga channel where you will see many animal species including; hippos, crocodiles and many bird species like; flamingos, red chest, papyrus Gonolek, pink backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, yellow crown, pink backed pelicans, water thick-knee, yellow-billed stork, shoebill stock. Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Have an early morning breakfast and head out to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park which is popular for the Tree Climbing Lions that can be seen lurking in fig trees. Connect to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where mountain gorillas are the centre of attraction, a distinct feature for Uganda’s tourism. Day 8: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking Tour

Have an early morning breakfast and report to the park headquarters by 7:30am for briefing park ranger guides. Thereafter, enter the forest with picnic lunch boxes to start a 30 minutes – 8 hours trek to find the Mountain gorillas as you hike up and down slippery slopes with dense mist covered vegetation. Once you locate the gorillas, you will be allowed 1 full hour with them while observing and learning their behavior as you take photos. If time allows, go on a village foot safari in the afternoon to meet and interact with the local communities that live around Bwindi Forest. Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and head to Lake Mburo National Park. Make a stopover at Igongo Cultural Center to explore and learn the Bahima and Ankole culture. Thereafter, proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, which is renowned for zebras, impalas, buffaloes, hippos, topi and elands including the rare shoebill, crested crane, pelicans, fish eagle, heron and many water birds. Take an evening boat cruise on Lake Mburo amidst the Hippos. Accommodation Options: Mihingo Safari Lodge (High End), Lake Mburo Safari Lodge (Mid Range) or Eagles Nest Lake Mburo (Budget). Day 10: Return to Kampala – Entebbe Airport

After an early morning breakfast, leave the park for Entebbe as you do a game drive on your way out. You may be lucky and spot big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland, Warthogs, buffalo and other savannah species. For birders, this is one of the best place to find African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike, etc. Continue your drive with a stopover at the Equator crossing with your lunch en route before you drive to back to Entebbe to catch up your flight back home or to your next destination.
