Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Depending on your arrival time, you will begin with a short Kigali city tour, allowing you to experience the atmosphere of Rwanda’s vibrant and well-organised capital. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Today is the main highlight of your 3 Days Gorilla Trekking Tour in Rwanda, as you embark on an unforgettable mountain gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park. After an early breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for registration, group allocation and a detailed briefing from the park authorities. You will then begin your trek through the montane forest, following experienced trackers who will lead you towards the gorilla family assigned to your group. The duration of the hike varies depending on the location and movements of the gorillas, as well as the terrain and weather conditions. Once you locate the gorilla family, you will spend your allocated viewing time observing their natural behaviour while following the conservation guidelines provided by your guides. After the encounter, you will trek back through the forest and return to your lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon of relaxation or an optional cultural experience around Musanze.

If your flight is later in the day, you may also have some free time to relax or explore a little more of Kigali, subject to the available time. You will then proceed to the airport for your flight home, carrying unforgettable memories of Rwanda’s mountain gorillas and the spectacular Virunga landscapes.
