Day 1: Kampala or Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park and Game Drive
Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, followed by a scenic drive towards Lake Mburo National Park in south-western Uganda. You will travel through the beautiful countryside, passing farms, villages, plantations and local trading centres while enjoying views of Uganda’s rolling landscapes. You will have lunch en route before continuing towards Lake Mburo, one of Uganda’s most distinctive savannah parks. Along the way, your guide will explain the different landscapes and local communities you encounter, giving you an insight into life outside Uganda’s major cities. Upon arrival at the park, you will begin an afternoon game drive through the savannah and woodland, searching for zebras, impalas, Uganda kobs, topi, elands, buffaloes, warthogs and other wildlife. You may also encounter giraffes and a variety of bird species, while the park’s scenic hills and wetlands provide excellent opportunities for photography. After the game drive, you will proceed to your lodge, check in and enjoy dinner as you relax in the peaceful surroundings of Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive, Lake Mburo National Park to Kampala or Entebbe and Departure
You will wake up early and enjoy breakfast before setting out for a final morning game drive through Lake Mburo National Park. The early morning provides excellent conditions for wildlife viewing, as many animals are active before the temperatures become warmer. Your guide will take you through different sections of the park in search of zebras, impalas, topi, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, elands, warthogs and other wildlife. You will also have opportunities to observe some of the park’s bird species, including colourful savannah birds and water-associated species around the wetlands. Depending on your schedule, you may also enjoy a short guided nature walk or stop at a scenic viewpoint before leaving the park, subject to time and park regulations. You will then begin your journey towards Kampala or Entebbe, passing through rural communities and beautiful countryside along the way. You will have lunch en route before continuing towards your final destination, with an optional stop at the Uganda Equator crossing for photographs and souvenirs if your flight schedule allows.
