This 7 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari combines Kidepo National Park and Murchison Falls National Park. These parks have got plenty of animal and bird species and are therefore among the top tourist destinations in Uganda. 7 Days Uganda Wildlife SafariDetailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Kampala – Gulu

You will have an early morning breakfast and embark on a 6-7hour drive to Gulu town in Northern Uganda. You will make a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to take part in Rhino Tracking and bird watching. You will the cross the River Nile at Karuma and proceed to Gulu, arriving in the evening. Dinner and Overnight stay at Boma Hotel Gulu. Meal Plan: (Lunch, Dinner).

Day 2: Gulu Town – Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

After your breakfast, your driver/guide will take you to Kidepo Valley National Park on a 4 hour drive. On your way, you will enjoy some scenic views of the few hills that separate Acholi Land and Karamoja as well as the great Manyatas. You will cross some few seasonal rivers and arrive at Kidepo Valley National Park in time for Lunch, relaxation and an evening game drive in Narus Valley. Overnight stay at either Apoka Safari Lodge (LUXURY), Ngamoru Wilderness Camp (MID RANGE) or Apoka Rest Camp (BUDGET).

Day 3: Narus Valley Game Drive

After breakfast, drive to Narus Valley for your morning game drive. Narus Valley is popular for mammals such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes antelopes, zebras and birds. Being the only permanent water point, many animals come to Narus Valley to drink water and feed. This is where you will find the largest buffalo herds than you can find anywhere on planet earth. Chances of spotting big cats hunting are very high as well. If lucky, you may spot the rare Cheeters too. Return to the Lodge for lunch, relaxation and then return to Narus Valley for an evening game drive. Overnight stay at either Apoka Safari Lodge (LUXURY), Ngamoru Wilderness Camp (MID RANGE) or Apoka Rest Camp (BUDGET).              Meal

Day 4: Narus Game Drive – Hotsprings Visit in Kidepo Valley.

After breakfast, drive to Narus valley to do an extra game drive and trace wildlife that you could have missed on the two game drives done earlier on. Game drives in Kidepo Valley National Park are the best and you will not be disappointed. The park has observation points with binoculars and it will be your pleasure to use one of them. Return to the Lodge for Lunch, short relaxation and then drive to Kidepo Valley to visit the hot springs, the Uganda-Sudan boarder and if lucky spot the giant Ostriches which are found in this place but have been seriously poached by Sudanese. There seasonal rivers on this side so if it is a rainy season, get ready to be interrupted for few hours. Overnight stay at either Apoka Safari Lodge (LUXURY), Ngamoru Wilderness Camp (MID RANGE) or Apoka Rest Camp (BUDGET). Meal

Day 5: Kidepo Valley National Park – Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, you will drive from Kidepo Valley National Park to Murchison Falls National Park, which takes about 6-7 hours. You will enjoy an en route game drive through the northern section of the Murchison Falls National Park popularly known as Para where you will have chances of spotting many mammals and if luck strikes, big cats hunting. Cross the River Nile by ferry and have an overnight stay at either Baker’s Lodge (LUXURY), Murchison River Lodge (MID RANGE) Red Chilli (BUDGET). Meal Plan: (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).

Day 6: Murchison Falls National Park Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise.

You will have an early morning game drive and cross the River Nile by Ferry for a morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. It is at this time that most animals are feeding while predators are hunting. You will not miss out on spotting buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, hippos, antelopes and so much more. Depending on your luck of the day, you may spot large cats hunting as well. Return to the lodge for lunch followed by an afternoon boat cruise to the base of the mighty Murchison Falls on River Nile. On this boat cruise, you will have an opportunity to spot many animal and bird species that include crocodiles, hippos, water birds, and other land animals that come to drink water here. Return to the Lodge for Dinner and overnight at either Baker’s Lodge (LUXURY), Murchison River Lodge (MID RANGE) Red Chilli (BUDGET). Meal Plan: (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). Day 7: Murchison Falls National Park – Entebbe Airport – Departure

After your early morning breakfast, you will embark on a 6 hour drive back to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight out of Uganda. You may briefly pass by the top of the Murchison Falls for a whole new perspective of the mighty Murchison Falls and to take great photos. You will have lunch en route and drive to Entebbe International Airport for your return flight back home.
