Our 10 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari will lead you to Uganda’s best tourism spots of Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, participating in different tourism activities which include gorilla tracking, chimpanzee tracking, game drives and launch cruise, nature walks.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe

You will be welcomed by Verdant Safaris company representative who will transfer you to the hotel that has been booked for you in Entebbe to rest from the long flight, take your time to relax as you prepare for the following days of your African safari.

Best budget: African roots guest house.

Meal plan: Bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Morning breakfast, we will head northwards towards Murchison Falls National Park, it is the oldest and largest conservation area in Uganda with a stopover in Nakasongola to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track Rhinos lunch en-route in Masindi town and after to our main destination Murchison having dinner and stay overnight

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise.

Early morning meal after which you will head for a game drive through the park, searching for fauna including nocturnal ones’ animals to be spotted include elephants, giraffes, lions, impala, oribi, warthogs, lions heading back to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls this will enable you have a close look at the water mammals like the Nile crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks among other animal species.

Day 4: Travel to Kibale Forest National Park

Breakfast and an all day trip to Kibale Forest National Park the capital of primates with the largest forest cover in Kabarole district the park hosts 13 species popularly known for chimpanzee tracking, it adjoins Queen Elizabeth National Park to the south and home to over 300 bird species arriving in the evening for dinner and stay overnight

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk.

Wakeup for an early morning breakfast to get ready for chimpanzee trekking, your guide will take drive you to Kanyanchu visitor center by 8am for your chimpanzee trek, this takes 2 to 3 hours through the thick tropical rain forest other primates like l’hoest monkey, black and white colobus monkey, retailed monkey, grey cheeked mangabey may be spotted lunch at the lodge and an afternoon swamp walk to the Bigodi sanctuary in search for swamp birds and more primates.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Following breakfast, you will head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector for tree climbing lions approximately 6 hours’ drive to the home of the magnificent gentle mountain Gorillas. Arriving in the evening for a Batwa cultural experience depending on the sector your accommodation is been booked dinner and stay overnight.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking

Morning breakfast, and head to the park headquarters to begin your gorilla tracking briefing from a park ranger about the park and the gorillas you will be allocated a gorilla family to track in groups of eight, tracking may take 2 to 8 hours depending on how far the gorilla families have moved it is quite tiring but rewarding by the end of the day as you get to meet these gentle giants.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

You will have a relaxed breakfast and after transfer to Lake Bunyonyi the land of a thousand islands, the lake is surrounded by beautiful Kigezi Island is a beautiful point for leisure and relaxation, you will have a canoe boat ride around the islands as you enjoy the breeze. Dinner and stay overnight

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After your morning breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, it is one of the smallest national parks in the country with beautiful game to see arriving at lunch, and an afternoon game drive with in the park you will spot zebras, hippos, elands, impala, topi, buffaloes, warthogs, giraffes, baboons among others dinner and stay overnight

Day 10: Transfer to Entebbe

Morning breakfast after transfer to Entebbe via Mbarara, stop over at the equator for photos.
